Based on previous studies on art therapy for delinquent adolescents, this study has categorized the effects of art therapy on prison life of delinquent adolescents into education, treatment,facility adjustment, and recidivism prevention. In addition, in the case of juvenile reformatory institutions, since treatment is conducted within a special environment as compared with normal treatment environments, such a treatment environment within juvenile reformatory institutions can influence the effects of art therapy. Accordingly, such factors of art therapy were classified into therapist, treatment environment, session durations, attitudes of group participants, and group cohesion to investigate relational effects.
