Cornus alba (CA) has been used as a hemostatic and diuretic treatments in Korea. Previously, it was reported that CA and its isolated component, camptothin B (1), have excellent pharmacological activities including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and inhibition of 5α-reductase on Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. In this study, quantitative analysis was performed using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) to evaluate the seasonal and regional contents of 1 isolated from CA. The analysis method of 1 was verified by reviewing validation guideline. And the content by season and region of 1 was in the range of 3.12~6.27% in ethanolic extract of CA.
