This study focuses on identifying the bargaining power or power position that Turkey can gain from relationship with other trade partners as a transit country. Currently, Turkey is not only the key routes for Russian gas export, but the sole gas exporting route for Azerbaijan to Europe. This allows Turkey to exert its grip on the natural gas trade based on its geopolitical importance in relations with trading participants and its role as a transit country. At the same time, however, these two natural gas exporters also play an important role in terms of Turkey's energy security as they supply substantial volume of natural gas. It becomes a factor that prevents the Obsolescing Bargaining of energy exporters. In addition, Turkey is currently experiencing a bottleneck due to capacity constraints in domestic gas transmitting system and discordance between its energy import points and consumption areas. This may act as weaknesses and limitations of the Turkey as a transit route.
