In the story "The House of Asterion" Borges explores the philosophical and existential themes through a famous mythical character Minotaur as a human being. Borges tries to redeem the Minotaur's human name, Asterion, and through the voice of the first person narrator, Asterion, a character from myth becomes a metaphor for a modern character searching for the meaning of his being in an isolated world. The brilliant reinterpretation of Borges' famous myth of the Minotaur creates the new myth of our modern age. The protagonist cannot escape his condition until death, another absolute condition of the human and at the same time brings us the enigmatic and ontological problem. The story is carried out as a police genre and offers with the particular information about the narrator it gives us another outstanding police genre. The main character, Asterion, son of the queen of the island Minos is portrayed as a lonely being because his appearance is monstrous. In literature, the Minotaur was always a monster and not a human being, although in reality he was a human being and a monster. The story explores the loneliness of a human with the head of a Cow. He is a being of a world, the only inhabitant and narrator who lives in a labyrinth that he considers his home. "The house of Asterion" is not a detective story apparently. However, it could be considered within the detective genre because it explores the elements of mystery, crime, and puzzle solving from the character's life to the end of the story that are very characteristic of the detective genre. Asterion as a human being describes his solitary life and reflects on his existence and his identity and constantly explains the condition of his home and his isolation and shows a certain melancholy and deep introspection regarding his loneliness. Minotaur is shown as a complex and lonely character who, despite being feared and unknown and disconnected by his parents and others, experiences longings and desires for communication with others like other humans and his loneliness and isolation culminate in death. the other mystery of life. Death was the only way to escape from his house and to save his sad life in the labyrinth.
