A flora and vegetation survey of the vegetation restoration area was conducted in May, June, and October 2023 on Bulgeundo, an uninhabited island located in Modori, Cheongsan-myeon, Wando-gun, Jeollanam-do. As a result, vascular plants were identified with 44 families, 73 genera, 73 species, 10 varieties and 1 forms, and a total of 84 taxa. Among the investigated plants, a total of 25 taxa were identified as specific plant species in the phytogenetology: Class V 2 taxa, Class III 6 taxa, and Class I 17 taxa. For naturalized plants, 12 taxa were identified. The naturalization rate was 14.3%, and the urbanization index was calculated as 3.7%. The main plant communities of Bulgeundo were Litsea japonica community, Eurya emarginata community, Miscanthus sinensis var. purpurascens community, and Artemisia capillaris community. Litsea japonica community is located in a steep slope from the nearby ridge to the west slope, Eurya emarginata community is located in an area adjacent to the Litsea japonica community, Miscanthus sinensis var. purpurascens community is located in an area where vegetation was disturbed by the activities of grazing goats in the past, and Artemisia capillaris community is located on coastal rock walls. In the center, sagebrush is spreading around the steep slopes and topography restoration areas of previously damaged areas, and the colony area appears to be limited. In the area where the restoration project was carried out in 2009 and 2010, the planted Quercus acuta, Quercus myrsinaefolia, Quercus glauca, and Machilus thunbergii were growing steadily, and the native tree species such as Pittosporum tobira, Eurya emarginata, Sageretia theezans, and Camellia japonica were also grown in the area. A stable shrub layer was formed along with planted species such as trees, and in the herbaceous layer, Rubus parvifolius, Setaria viridis var. pachystachys, Lactuca indica var. laciniata, Kadsura japonica, Clematis terniflora, Miscanthus sinensis var. purpurascens appeared. The main communities in the northern area of the Bulgeundo vegetation restoration area were Lespedeza pilosa-Lactuca indica var. laciniata community, Lespedeza pilosa-Setaria viridis var. pachystachys community, and Sonchus brachyotus-Lespedeza pilosa community, while Miscanthus sinensis var. purpurascens community appeared in contrast in the surrounding natural vegetation. The main communities in the south-facing area of the Bulgeundo vegetation restoration area included the Artemisia capillaris-Carex boottian community, Carex boottian-Miscanthus sinensis var. purpurascens community, and Carex boottian-Artemisia capillaris community, while the silver grass community appeared in contrast in the surrounding natural vegetation. In the coastal slope area to the south of the Bulgeundo vegetation restoration area, the main community was Artemisia capillaris-Carex boottian community, while a contrasting Artemisia capillaris community appeared in the surrounding natural vegetation. Millet sedge transplanted in May and June 2023 in the vegetation restoration area has stably formed a herbaceous vegetation zone and the overall vegetation rate (%) has steadily increased, and the species composition and vegetation rate within the community are expected to continue to change. It is expected.
