Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is vulnerable to wormhole attacks during routing processes due to their characteristic of being composed of independent nodes without any infrastructure. Although wormhole attacks do not directly damage the network, they can be used for subsequent attacks such as data tampering or Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, necessitating detection and response methods. We proposes a multi-verification-based wormhole detection method that combines independent verification methods utilizing the characteristics of wormhole attacks. The proposed method builds a secure communication environment by isolating malicious networks from the network if a wormhole attack is detected during the verification stages. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method significantly reduces the proportion of packets passing through wormhole tunnels by detecting malicious nodes conducting wormhole attacks and notifying nearby nodes.
