This study aims to investigate structural relations among the implicit beliefs, cognitive appraisals, and performance strategies of professional golfers and analyze the mediating effects of cognitive appraisals on relations between their implicit beliefs and performance strategies. For these purposes, the study applied the convenience sampling method to professional golfers that were registered at KPGA or KLPGA and competed in the first- and second-division tournaments and selected a total of 235 valid samples. Collected data was put to the fitness test for the entire model with SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0 before hypothesis testing. The analysis results were as follows: first, incremental belief had positive effects on challenges under cognitive appraisals among professional golfers. Fixed belief had significant positive effects on threats; second, incremental belief had significant effects on regulating the condition, relaxing, and controlling emotions under performance strategies. Fixed belief had negative effects only on controlling emotions under performance strategies; third, challenges under cognitive appraisals had positive effects on all the subfactors of performance strategies, and threats had negative effects on all the factors of performance strategies except for controlling emotions; and finally, cognitive appraisals had significant mediating effects on relations between the implicit beliefs and performance strategies of professional golfers.
