The purpose of this study is to analyze and to understand the expression characteristics of Jean-Paul Gautier"s guest designer project works. The research method is a literature study on the fashion world of Jean Paul Gaultier and guest designers and a case study on guest designer project works from 2021 F/W to 2023 S/S. Results are as follows. Chitose Abe highlighted the idea of a strong and dynamic modern woman by reinterpreting the con bra, corset, marine stripe, tattoo look, deconstruction of trench coat or bomber jacket, and collaboration artwork with tattoo artist. Second, Glenn Martens is characterized by a glamorous female image, combining Jean-Paul Gautier"s corset look, Marine Stripe"s reinterpretation using the trompe l"oeil technique, Glenn Martens" unique waist cut-out technique, and dramatic wrinkle decorations using wires. Third, Olivier Rousteing wittily expressed his respect for the masters of the house atelier and reinterpreted all of Jean Paul Gaultier"s past works, such as corn bras, corsets, and the trompe l"oeil technique, marine stripes, multicultural elements, and deconstructive characteristics. Fourth, Heider Ackermann focused on elaborate tailoring, including the reinterpretation of con bras, corsets, and Jean Paul Gaultier"s early couture works, and reflected messages about women"s freedom and human rights. While it is anticipated that the fashion house tradition will be vigorously recreated to fit the needs of the times, it is hoped that creative initiatives to accept differences will also be actively made.
