This is a series of studies to develop an integrated ventilation system algorithm aimed at improving indoor air quality in apartment houses. The purpose of this study was to examine the problems of the ventilation system by measuring and observing changes in the indoor air quality according to the type of ventilation system used by residents of apartment houses. Using open-source hardware sensors and ESP-NOW"s N:1 communication, the generation and spread of kitchen pollutants and changes in the bathroom wetting environment were analyzed. Contaminants that could not be removed from the kitchen range hood were stacked on the upper part of the kitchen and diffused along the ceiling. The operation of the household ventilation device reduced the concentration of fine dust, but it was more than 10 times the concentration standard of fine dust. CO2 was effective in providing natural ventilation. The bathroom wet environment was effective in reducing humidity when the exhaust fan was operated for a certain period or more during and after using the bathroom. Even though the humidity decreased, there was a high possibility that the condensed water vapor inside the bathroom remained. In addition, when the forced air supply was released after using the bathroom, it improved the wet environment and effectively supplied an appropriate air flow to the bathroom.
