In this study, in order to identify the number of giant jellyfish entering the coastal waters of Korea, acoustic surveys and trawl surveys were conducted in parallel, and mutual correlations were analyzed. the investigation was conducted from June 29, 2021 to July 11, 2021 using exploration ship No. 20 (R/V, 885G/T). In the acoustic survey, the distribution of jellyfish appeared at all vertices, and the vertex where jellyfish were detected the most was number 9, where 1,046 jellyfish were detected. In the survey of trawl, the most collected peak was number 9, with a total of 771 collected. In addition, when looking at the correlation between the acoustic survey and the trawl survey, the correlation coefficient R² was about 0.44, indicating that the two survey methods were correlated.
