Among public buildings, libraries have the highest accessibility and utilization rate of cultural life centered on living areas, and have been continuously developed and changed due to changes in the social population structure, the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and users" various service needs. The public library is a community activity center that provides programs throughout social, cultural, and entertainment activities, and as an information center, it is a space that provides not only reference materials but also professional information. Furthermore, as an educational support center, it satisfies the educational needs of schools and students in the community, and provides various functions such as satisfying personal needs by preparing self-study programs as a self-study center. Although the expansion of public libraries such as metropolitan libraries and public libraries continues by local governments, the number of cases being built in urban parks in the living area is increasing due to difficulties in securing sites considering the accessibility of users. In a modern society where various lifestyles are important, public libraries linked to urban parks play a role in revitalizing leisure and cultural life in the community by combining elements such as nature, culture, and education, and the development and expansion of various field trip programs are also increasing. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to derive the types and forms of connection between movement lines and internal and external spaces through case analysis, and to present the direction of the architectural plan of public libraries linked to urban parks by examining their characteristics.
