Recently, the housing cost burden of young people is very large. Under this circumstance, the University Cooperative Haeng-bok Public Rental Housing (UCHP) was introduced, in which the university provided the site and the LH was in charge of construction and operation. While this is a public rental housing, it also has the characteristics of a dormitory in terms of living space for students in the university. In other words, it is a new type of housing that did not exist before, and research on this is necessary. However, research on UCHP is very insufficient. The purpose of this study is to derive factors that affect overall housing satisfaction of UCHP. The subject of this study is the UCHP in Chungbuk National University, which was built for the first time, and two dormitories were analyzed together for comparison. A multiple regression analysis was conducted with the factor scores derived from factor analysis as independent variables and the overall housing satisfaction as a dependent variable. The summary of the results is as follows. First, the satisfaction of the private space had a great influence on the housing satisfaction of UCHP, but the public space had no effect. Second, location factors related to accessibility had a significant effect on housing satisfaction. Third, there was a difference in the factors influencing housing satisfaction between UCHP and dormitory.
