The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of high-intensity interval music rope-skipping on blood lipids, appolipoproteins and growth-related factors in obese girl children. Sixteen obese girl children were assigned to either exercise group(EG: n=8, Age: 11.50±0.76 year, Height: 148.10±6.19 cm, Weight: 58.46±3.45 kg) or control group (CON: n=8, Age: 11.25±0.89 year, Height: 148.56±5.74 cm, Weight: 58.14±4.45 kg). The main workout in this study consisted of 2 minutes of high-intensity interval music rope-skipping at 85-95% of maximum heart rate and 1 minute of recovery interval jumping rope at 60-70% of maximum heart rate for 7 reps, for a total of 21 minutes. The results were as follows: 1) TC, TG, LDL-C, and HDL-C decreased in the exercise group and increased in the control group, with an interaction effect of group and time. 2) apolipoprotein A1 increased in the exercise group and decreased in the control group, with no interaction effect of group and time. Apolipoprotein B was decreased in the exercise group, with an interaction effect of group and time. 3) IGF-1 and growth hormone were increased in the exercise group, but there was no interaction effect of group and time. As a results, It was confirmed that high-intensity interval music skipping can have a positive effect on blood lipid, apolipoprotein, and growth-related factors in obese girl children in a short exercise time.
