This study verified the effect of the elderly"s perceived health status participating in rehabilitation exercise on exercise passion and life satisfaction. To this end, a survey was conducted targeting elderly people aged 65 or older participating in rehabilitation exercises at hospitals and sports centers located in the metropolitan area. To this end, item analysis, correlation analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and reliability analysis were conducted to verify the validity and reliability of the measurement tool. In addition, correlation analysis and regression analysis were conducted to verify the causal relationship between variables. Through this procedure, the following results were obtained. First, in order to verify the effect of perceived health status on exercise passion, it was found that mental health and physical health factors statically and significantly explained both obsessive passion and harmonious passion, which are sub-factors of exercise passion. Second, in order to verify the effect of perceived health status on life satisfaction, it was found that both mental and physical health factors were positively and significantly explained in the emotional life satisfaction and mental life satisfaction factors, which are sub-factors of life satisfaction. Third, in order to verify the effect of passion for sports on life satisfaction, it was found that the factors of obsessive passion and harmonious passion were statically and significantly explained in both the emotional life satisfaction and mental life satisfaction factors, which are sub-factors of life satisfaction.
