This paper deals with the research of flora and life form at Shihwa, Seongmun, Yiwon, Nampo and Saemangeum in the western coast of Korea. The vascular plants collected from five western coast were identified as 249 taxa in total, including 57 families, 167 genera, 216 species, 1 subspecies, 31 varieties and 1 forms. As for the flora, Shihwa's reclaimed land ranked first, with 142 taxa of plants, followed by Seongmun's reclaimed land of 140, Yiwon's 125, Nampo's 124 and Saemangeum 115. The halophyte identified that Shihwa's reclaimed land had 22 species, larger than other reclaimed lands and also that it had more species of mud flat and dune plants then others. In terms of their life form of five reclaimed land in the western coast, Therophytes(Th) ranked first with 42.4%, followed by Hemicryptophytes(H) with 21.2% and Hydatophytes(HH) with 14%.
