According to the statistics, there is currently a significantly higher incidence of safety issues and deaths as a result of accidents relating to drug administration than there are resulting from traffic accidents. This information has brought the importance of drug safety management into the limelight, and highlighted the value of pharmacists in society, who have a great responsibility to dispense drugs in a controlled and accurate manner. Pharmacists are a drug dispensing service for inpatients of medical institutions, however it is often difficult for patients to directly confront the pharmacists regarding medications, and the government’s policies about safety are not well-recognized. As a result, on September 4th, 2014 a survey was commissioned by the survey agency with the goal of improving drug dispensation in response to the public sentiment regarding the inpatient pharmaceutical service given by hospital pharmacists. The survey collected information regarding hospital admissions and hospital pharmacists’experience in medication counselling services/special medication counselling. Training and education in this area is mandatory, medication counselors hospital pharmacists, cognitive level nutrition support team (NST), all require a university degree. A Hospital’s medicine department is institution-wide, containing occupations and roles for drug management. A pharmacist's task is confined to the drug-dispensing element of drug management and they are not involved in agency-wide drug management. However there exists also the drug safety management, which is very important to the improvement of the quality of inpatient pharmaceutical services. Therefore, the establishment of a better health care system against the poll results in formulation through policy alternatives for the hospital pharmacist, by providing high-quality pharmaceutical services at medical institutions. In this context, a revision of pharmacists as health care providers is due, and needs to be improved. The pharmacist’s union need to introduce a ranking system that acts in accordance with the incentives of professional pharmacists, medical institutions and to strengthen the certification criteria and assessment schemes by introducing patient safety and public health awareness.
