The purpose of this research is to provide efficient basic training data to effectively respond to international games by analyzing the point earning techniques and scoring power’s differences from the wrestling matches before and after the regulation revision. after wrestling was exempted from Olympic games, the regulations were drastically revised. To analyze the content, 140 male free style wrestling games from 2013 World Universiade Competition, which after the regulation revision, and 2013 Worldcup Wrestling Competition, which was before the regulation revision. According to the comparative analysis on the scoring technique categories, the result indicated that there was statistically significant differences (χ2=58.259, p=.001) between the existence of scoring technique categories before and after the regulation revision. For the scoring ability, the average score during Worldcup Wrestling competition was 6.2 and average scores on Universiade Competition was 9.7, showing more scores earend after the regulation revision compared to before. From the aspect of techincal scores, Worldcup competition’s 1point technique was 234 times (72.9%), 63 times on 2 point techniques (19.6%). However in the Universiade Competition, 63 times on 1 point techniques (17.3%), and 278 times on 2 point techniques (76.5%) shows a reversal in technique usage. In the scoring zone aspects before the revision, 182 times were central zone (56.5%), and 140 times in the danger zone (43.5%). After the revision, 254 times in the central zone (69.6%) and 109 times in the danger zone (30.1%) indicates an increase in central zone targeting for points.
