This study was aimed to investigate an effect of administration of Seeweed Extracts on aerobic capacity, exercise fatigue and concentration in elite athletes. For this study, 30 elite athletes in K university were selected as experimental subjects and divided into two groups; Experimental group(n=15) and Placebo group(n=15). Extracts from Seeweed were drawn by ethanol or water and condensed by rotary evaporator. Supplements from Seeweed were administrated twice per day by supervision of researchers. Exercise stress test was performed before and after administration by using KISS protocol. Concentration level was checked before and after administration by types of brain waves which were measured by electroencephalographic device. Serum lactate and LDH were analysed for measuring severities of exercise fatigue. 3 ml Blood from antecubital vein of subjects were collected and used for analysing LDH level. And concentration of lactate was checked on 4 times(on resting, right after, 30 and 60 minutes after exercise stress test) and analysed by Finger tip method using capillary tubes. Results of this study are as follow; Exercise endurance time in experimental group was increased significantly, and Cardiovascular endurance was enhanced after administration. Serum lactate level was decreased after 2 weeks. And also ?-wave after aerobic exercise was decreased, which means concentration capacity was improved after administration.According to results of this study, it is suggested that Seeweed Extracts has a possibility to use as ergogenic aids which improve cadiovascular endurance and enhance concentration capacity and also decrease exercise fatigue in elite athletes.
