1The purpose of this research is to examine recognition of players and directors, the operating methods of the game, after the rules of badminton game have been revised. To attain the objectives of this research, firstly, subjects were limited to 40 players and directors of badminton of more than 10 years’ experience by purposeful sampling and secondly, the subjects from which diverse data related to this research could be obtained based on the specialized judgment of this researcher and qualitative research experts were limited to 8 players and directors through prior observation and prior interviews. From those who consented to participate in the research, 4 players and 4 directors were finally selected by random sampling. Open-ended questions were conducted on these people and the collected data were summarized through inductive categorical analysis. Also for the characteristic items, concrete reasons and difficulties in the fields and future countermeasures were discussed through in-depth interviews with players and directors. The conclusion obtained from the results of this research is as follows. In conclusion, for the operation of the game after the revision of the game rules were revised, defense should be stabilized and offensive capabilities should be enhanced so that fast offensive can take the initiative. Also, the players’ psychological aspects such as the concentrating power and confidence should be reinforced so that the capabilities to cope with critical situations can be secured. And the strengths and weaknesses of the players should be identified and individualized guidance should be made by making the players experience diverse games on a real contest basis.
