This study attempts to analyze how pop art is expressed in the fashion and beauty industry by analyzing hairstyles in popular culture, especially focusing on pop star's hair styles and contents of fashion beauty magazines as well as examining pop-art images and features of modern hairstyles. As a result, this study found that pop-art images have been deeply related to in popular culture and are commonly used in commercial marketing and personal expression. It is also confirmed that they have a considerable effect on modern hairstyles. In terms of hairstyles in popular culture, unique images, colors and patterns have been used to create light and bright hairstyles. In addition, free styles have been pursued by ignoring facial balance or integrity. And also this study found that in popular culture, healthy and active hairstyles are expressed in a diverse and experimental manner, denying conventional hairstyles. In addition, instant culture, which tends to be easily consumable and commercial, and popular culture, which speaks out against the older generation, have been generated, and innovative hairstyles. Consequently through new and unique innovative hairstyles which have characteristics both in instant and popular culture are created.
