Cambodia is a country located in the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. Cambodia was invaded and affected a lot by its neighbourhood countries such as Thailand, Laos and Vietnam for a long time. It also had been governed by France, Vietnam, and Japan. Even though the country had been flourished during 12th century, 80% of the people are engaged in agriculture, officers are severely corrupted and the gap of the poor and the rich is big today. Thanks to foreign grant aids coming from Europe Union countries, USA, Japan, Korea, and China from 1990s, infrastructure is being built and tourism is flourishing. This paper aims to clarify three aspects of Cambodia: history and culture, geography and architecture of the country. This study aims to provide more information on Cambodia? social background; this information will be supportive to the relationship between Korea and Cambodia. This study was done by the information gathered and acquired through actual visit to Cambodia.
