This paper examines the Cultural state and base of Oral-Literature on Gyeongsangbuk-do district. To this end, for things were examined : first, the Research of a present state, the scope of genre are folklore, folksongs, song of shaman, Pansori, Talchum[mask-dance], riddle, proverb. ; second, Examined the State of Cultur Change of Oral-Literature on Gyeongsangbuk-do district ; third, the view of Oral-Literature that need to be dealt with in the future, as well as their present and future ;As a result, the conclusion is reached that research of a Oral-Literature is always engaged with the present, No matter how long the item of Oral-Literature have been transmitted, if it is not researched in the "hear and now", then it cannot be said to be an item of Oral-Literature. Also, the methods of transmission as well as the content transmitted must change according the changes in the environments of our lives. Just as languages are formed, grow, and become extinct, items of oral transmission, which are comprised of words, are also formed, grow, and become extinct. That is, item of Oral-Literature find their significance as constantly changing entities that exist in the present, not as fixed entities. During the transitional period rural society moved into industrial society. and cultural contexts are changed drastically, we have to seek for a new viewpoint and methodology to respond to the culture change. The objects of research of Oral-Literature, inclusive of folk culture, has diachronic and synchronistic feature. therefore Oral-Literature has to research into synthetic-relationship and paradigmatic-relationship on Oral-Literature and move trans-disciplinary view-point develop new method. From a culture change’s perspective, the study of Oral-Literature needs the change of view point and the seeking of methodology as soon as possible. We have to interact with fields of study on culture change and paradigm change. it is more important to understand that culture and view of communication. Don’t depend on traditional concept of Oral-Literature, but varied member’s relationship and Oral-Literature situation.
