The long-term debates between HanHan and Fang zhu zi on SinaWeibo(新浪微博), focusing on confirming the fact of "ghostwriting", rather than the systematic problems of corruption and bureaucracy, were not just unprecendented but of sociocultural implications which indicated diversity and pluralism of the Weibo(Micro-Blog) case.HanHan who represented the generation born in the 1980s or later raised issues regarding the anti-system and education, while the main media of the southern region intended to spread the public issue and the concept of public intelligence depicted HanHan as a liberalist and public-interest oriented citizen. However, HanHan’s famous three posters were open to the public, his challenge to the authority of intellectuals was not regarded as successful. The suspicion toward his status as public intelligence and his attitude stretched to entire his works and the way how he responded to the debates.Fang’s questions and doubts, aiming at the changes of young generation, were heavily criticised from HanHan’s wide fan base, whereas Fang’s followers actively participated in debates on Tenya(天涯) or Kaidu(凱迪) site and were able to draw out general concerns directly to the commercialism of the media and political consumerism of public intelligence.This study reviewed the positions and networks of respective parties participated in debates, and it is noteworthy that the debates were of sociocultural implications since they were developed from confirmation of ghostwriting to the scope of individual rights and the right to know, allowed range of legal evidence and reasoning, and the public’s spontaneous decision about the method of debate which indicated the possibility of the formation of the so-called public sphere.
