The purpose of this study is to investigate beliefs about Chinese and Japanese learning held by Chinese and Japanese as a Foreign Language learners in Korea), A total of 540 Korean high school students participated in this study), The Beliefs about Language Learning Inventory (BALLI, Horwitz, 1987) was used to collect data), The questionnaire items were translated into Korean and handed out to the subjects), The questionnaire used 33 items and each item consisted of one belief statement), Subjects were asked to check how strongly they agreed or disagreed with the statement), The main findings of this study are as follows:First, unlike Japanese learners, most of the Chinese learners responded that learning Chinese linguistic structure such as pronunciation and grammar is difficult), Second, unlike English learners, many Japanese and Chinese learners believe, it's not needed to go abroad for better Japanese or Chinese learning), Third, most of the highschool second language learners believe drill is very important for language learning and audio visual tools are effective for language learning.
