본 연구의 목적은 노인여성의 인지기능과 운동기술과의 관련성을 알아보고 치매예방 및 개선을 위한 운동프로그램개발에 기초적 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 I시에 거주하고 있는 여성노인 50(65-85세)명을 대상으로 MMSE-K와 BOT-2의 6개 하위 항목(fine motor precision, fine motor integration, manual dexterity, upper-limb coordination, bilateral coordination, balance)과 Senior Fitness Test 항목 중 30sec chair stand and sit, arm curl, 8feet up and go을 측정하여 서로의 관련성을 알아보고자 이변량 상관관계와 회귀분석을 통해 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 인지기능과 운동기술의 하위영역 6개 항목과 30sec chair stand and sit, arm curl, 8feet up and go 모두 서로 상관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 인지기능의 하위영역인 지남력은 운동기술 하위영역 6개 항목과 30sec chair stand and sit, arm curl, 8feet up and go 모두 상관성이 있었으며, 기억력은 운동기술의 하위영역 6개항목과 8feet up and go이 상관성이 있었다. 주의집중력은 fine motor integration, manual dexterity, upper-limb coordination, 30sec chair stand and sit, arm curl, 8feet up and go와 상관성이 있었으며, 언어기능은 upper-limb coordination을 제외한 인지기능 하위영역과 30sec chair stand and sit, arm curl, 8feet up and go와 상관성이 있었다. 이해판단 영역에서는 fine motor, manual dexterity, bilateral coordination, balance, 30sec chair stand and sit, 8feet up and go와 상관성이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 운동기술능력이 높을수록 인지기능개선에 좋은 영향을 줄 것으로 판단된다.
The purpose of study was to find out the relationship between cognitive function and motor skills in elderly women. Fifty elderly women between the ages of 65-85 old participated in this study. We tested MMSE-K and Fine manual control, Manual coordination, Body coordination and, 30sec chair stand and sit, Arm curl, 8feet up and go. Data were analyzed using correlation coefficients and regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, there was a correlation between cognitive function and fine motor precision, fine motor integration, manual dexterity, bilateral coordination, balance, upper-limb coordination, 30sec chair stand and sit, Arm curls, 8feet up and go. Second, it showed that there was a significantly correlation between orientation and fine motor precision, fine motor integration, manual dexterity, bilateral coordination, balance, upper-limb coordination, 30sec chair stand and sit, Arm curls, 8feet up and go, also relationship between memories and fine motor precision, fine motor integration, manual dexterity, bilateral coordination, balance, upper-limb coordination, 8feet up and go, also, there was correlation between attention and fine motor integration, manual dexterity, upper-limb coordination, 30sec chair stand and sit, Arm curl, 8feet up and go. It also showed that correlation between language function and fine motor integration, manual dexterity, 30sec chair stand and sit, Arm curl, 8feet up and go, also there were relationships between comprehension and fine motor, manual dexterity, bilateral coordination, balance, 30sec chair stand and sit, 8feet up and go. Therefore, it seems that the higher the motor skills are the higher cognitive functions will be.
