The purpose of this research is to analyze on the determinant factors on Namdaemun Mechants’ business outlook impacted by floating population due to Seoullo 7017. Field survey for 400 merchants had been carried from Dec. 2016 to Jan. 2017, and finally 70 cases were adopted. the binary logistic regression model was employed to analysis and the results were as follow. First, the 77.1% merchants had negative outlook for increase of floating population. Second, the determinant factors for merchant's positive outlook at significant level 90% were Male(-), Wholesale(+), Woman-Clothing(+), 1st floor(+), and Rent per area(+). And this results showed that many merchants had negative recognition for the effect of floating population, because they believed that increase of floating population would have negative effect like fast rent-increasing. However, Merchants engaged in women-clothing and located at 1st floor on main streets had positive outlook, because they believed that if floating population increased, they would have more sales. Consequently, the major finding is increase of floating population had different effect on merchants by their characters such as by business type, location, and rent-burden.
