COVID-19 raised the need to diversify programs for immigrants, which had been operated mainly in offline setting, into programs including online as well as offline in consideration of the educational conditions of learners. The criteria were established by comparing and analyzing cases of social integration education programs in advanced immigration countries such as US, Austrailia, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Japan and others as well as diverse programs for the immigrants by Korean ministries related to the immigrants. An online survey was conducted on 100 immigrants participating in the Integrated Program (KIIP). In addition, in order to derive the necessity of the curriculum and how to use it, a focus group interview (FGI) was conducted with 2 heads of migrant support agencies, 6 immigrants, and 2 immigrant education experts. An online education program consisting of a total of 6 subjects was designed, including information on entrepreneurship, etc. Based on the designed program (proposal), in April 2020, a short-term curriculum development project for strengthening adult learners competency (Korea Education and Research Information Service) was contested to finally develop the “Korean Social Settlement and Integrated Online Education Program for Immigrants”. Through this, it has become possible to establish an online continuous learning system that can help immigrants settle and integrate safely in Korea through KOCW (Korea Open Course Ware), an open lecture platform operated by the Ministry of Education.
