This study aims to review the possibility of developing natural hair cosmetics to relieve hair damage caused by frequent chemical treatment like perm. Thus, the study made chelidonium majus hair treatment and evaluated the hair damage after perm treatment, and drew up results as below. As the result of measuring thickness of hair, TBC group adding chelidonium majus extract to base had the closes result to virgin hair with 0.0372 ± 0.0028 mm, which was 0.0264 ± 0.0029 mm thicker than comparison group C indicting less damage. As the result of measuring hair moisture, the group preprocessed with treatment had higher moisturizing ability than group C, and the group with treatment base composed of natural ingredient and group with treatment containing chelidonium majus shoed relatively higher moisturizing ability. As the result of measuring tensile strength, TBC that got a perm after applying chelidonium majus treatment had 111.77 ± 11.25 mm which was lower than virgin hair, but highest among experiment group. TBC that is closest to ultrastructure observation virgin hair using SEM had the lowest damage, and the group C without preprocessing of treatment had the most severe damage. As the result of analyzing hair composition using EDS, TBC that applied chelidonium majus treatment and got perm contained the most sulfur(09.41%) which was 1.31% less than virgin hair. According to the result, it was confirmed that when using natural treatment containing 09.41%, it relieves hair damage.
