This author deems that the anthropocene and local extinction can be examined as issues corresponding to the same area. This researcher sees that the evils that the anthropocene and local extinction have brought about and the concepts regard problematic lie in human and non-human life patterns. The ground where the patterns are concretized should be the structure surrounding value practice. The two phenomena are dealt with here as the concepts representing the risk of the capitalistic system, the value practice pattern that is dominant in this age. Despite diverse areas that discourse about the anthropocene includes and its activities of practice, the drive in the back is focused on mankind as the entity that is undivided. The phenomenon of local extinction does not mean the absolute decrease of population fragmentarily. On one side, population is excessively concentrated, and on the other side, population flows out drastically, which leads to collapse in the society. Facing local extinction, we demand policy for the balanced development of regions more and more and seek ways to transform life patterns along with their innovation. From the anthropocene and capitalocene, we should explore the new possibility of value practice patterns as a shelter. The communality of tenant famer’s life suggested as one of the examples implies the possibility of transformation in the dominative patterns of value practice. It is one of the potentialities that can be manifested within the ironic condition of either the anthropocene or local extinction, and we may be able to appreciate the possibility of it as an alternative, not as the relics of the past or remains in the present but a new way of living together.
