This paper aims to research and review the criteria of like products and directly competitive products under Most Favored Nation (MFN) and National Treatment (NT) principles under WTO law. It utilizes the method of literature research by exploring WTO case laws. The contents of this paper are seeking the criteria of determining like products and reviewing several issues arising from the criteria: way to differentiate like products and directly competitive products, determining competitive market, assumption of like products by a clear origin discrimination, and the issue of nonproduct-related processes and production methods. Despite the decreased value of multilateral trade on the world from the pandemic of COVID-19, trade conflicts, and the eastern European war leading to the new cold war, we cannot ignore the WTO Dispute Settlement System until the alternative appearance in the future. Therefore the paper focuses on the an issue of like products and its derivative issues which are the most pervasive in the disputes of world trade.
