The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends and propose future research directions, focusing on the research of Korean language education in Korea for Chinese learners. This study targeted 483 academic journal papers and analyzed them by year and subject. According to the results of the study, the most active research was conducted in the field of morphological analysis, but there was a serious lack of research in the fields of Korean language proficiency assessment and teacher education. As the number of Chinese learners continues to increase, there is a need for more effective educational curricula, a variety of teaching methods, and educational programs, etc., and therefore there is a need for such research to be conducted continuously. In particular, the effectiveness of learners’ learning may vary depending on the ability and expertise of the teachers. Therefore, there is a need for continuous research on teacher education research that can improve overall quality.
