This paper analyzes the works of Xie Xin in the respect of decon- structionism, trying to understand the relationship butween philosophy and dances, thus observing the new sphere for dance creation provided by deconstructionism. As Xie Xin is the famous youth director of con- temporary China, the content and trend of modern dance creation in con- temporary China can be understood through reading her works. The cen- tral idea of her works ‘From in’is to split Chinese characters, the per- spective of which is to directly and deeply analyse and reconstruct the con- cept of ‘person ’ ‘人’. Deconstructionism makes use of deconstructing stra- tagy to develop the methods of multiple thinking, the main method of which is to destroy and reconstruct from the ideological levels. Therefore, dances can be influenced in the creation method and idea so that dances have the interdisciplinary characteristics and form the plural artistic expressions. This paper analyses the works ‘From in’through the three re- spects: differance, intertextuality, anti-logocentrism of deconstructionism, and explores the influences of social ideological trend on dance creation.
