Purpose : This study attempted to investigate satisfaction and improvements in counseling with subjects and their parents in the field of speech therapy. The purpose of this is to examine the problems that have emerged through this and to consider improvement measures. Methods : Riss, Google Scholar collected a total of 5 previous studies related to counseling in the rehabilitation field using keywords ‘counseling’, ‘treatment’, and ‘rehabilitation’. From the collected studies, the questionnaire was constructed by extracting the content elements necessary for questionnaire production. Results : The average counseling time status of the subjects or their parents was 5-10 minutes, and the contents of the counseling were 6 explanations for treatment on the same day, 4 explanations for language development, and 1 other. It was found that most of them were satisfied with the consultation time, usually 1 person, 2 people satisfied, and 6 people very satisfied. As a result of the survey on parents" demand for counseling, 9 people needed explanation on the day treatment, 4 people needed explanation on home education, 1 person needed emotional counseling, and 7 people needed explanation on language development. Conclusions : In this study, the current status, satisfaction, and demand of counseling for speech therapy subjects and their parents were examined, and the results were discussed. In future studies, it is necessary to conduct surveys on more subjects, and to analyze the results in consideration of various variables.
