This study aims to analyze the meaning construal of the My Body, My Choice picket signs in protests within the Discourse Viewpoint Space (Dancygier 2012). Based on its investigation of attested data from a Google Image search, this study argues that the picket sign instantiates multilayered meaning constructions because viewpoints of the represented speaker and of the picket sign maker at different conceptual levels interact systematically, which yields the intended meaning of the picket sign. As a case study, this research investigated the construal of the My Body, My Choice picket signs used in protests against COVID-19 mandates. Based on the information retrievable from its conventional usage of MBMC in the abortion-rights movements, this study confirmed that the interaction among multiple viewpoints is the main source of the final construal of the picket sign together with relevant contextual information evoked or invoked in the construal of the MBMC picket signs
