Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of phonics training program using a grapheme-phoneme automatic corresponding device (Play Tango) on improving the phonological awareness and decoding ability of students with dyslexia in the first and second grades of elementary school. Methods: The AB design was applied to three participants. Participants conducted a total of 25 sessions of 3 baseline sessions, 20 intervention sessions, and 2 maintenance sessions to examine the effects of intervention. Phonological awareness and decoding tests modified by the researcher were used to the participants. Phonological awareness test of BASA:EL and decoding test of KOLRA were also conducted before and after the intervention. Results: As a result of the study, the phonological awareness and decoding score of students with dyslexia improved, and the effect was maintained after the intervention. Conclusions: The phonics training program using Play-Tango, in which the letter and sound of the letter provided visually and tactilely are presented simultaneously, was effective in improving the phonological recognition and decoding ability of students with dyslexia.
