본 논문에서는 주파수 4.7GHz-5.3GHz에서 동작하는 광대역 평판 안테나를 설계 하였다. 제안된 안테나는 커플링패드를 포함한 급전회로망, 스페이셔 역할을 하는 폴리우레탄 폼, 방사 소자 및 레이돔으로 구성된다. C-대역에서 주파수 특성을 광대역화 하기 위해 전자기적 결합 방식으로 급전하였다. 평판 안테나의 급전회로망은 균일전력분배 방식으로 설계하였다. 상용 프로그램인 Microwave Studio<SUP>TM</SUP> V.2016을 이용하여 최적 설계를 하였다. 단일패치 설계 후 이득증가를 위해 방사 소자를 2x1로 배열하였다. 설계된 안테나는 2x1배열시 4.65~5.34GHz에서 1.5:1 이하의 정재파비 특성과 10dBi~11dBi의 안테나 이득을 갖는다.
