This thesis has the goal that we could find the differences and similarities of geographical temps by comparing and analyzing geographical terms used in the geography textbooks of Korea and China(Yon-Beon Chosun ethnic self-government) and that we could find the differences of both nations` geographical system of high school which come from the differences on the terms. In addition, it is the second goal that we could offer the convenience of the terms in exchanging the geographical education between both nations. We come to the below conclusion from comparing the terms 1. There are 16 terms which have the same concept among 732 terms in Korea and 722 terms in China. And 92 terms are used as the same ones and 68 terms as the different ones. There are 50 terms which can be understood without difficulty despite the different terms. Only 18 terms are difficult to understand, which consist of 11.3% of 160 terms. 2. Korean terms` characteristic is that there are few of terms` number, terms are simple, and there are many that is accordance with those translated from the Chinese letters. 3. Chinese terms` characteristics is that they used Korean terms and didn`t use foreign terms basically. 4. The number of terms is the biggest difference in the comparison of geographical terms of Korea and China high school. In Korea, there are more human geography terms and in China, there are more physical geography terms. 5. This difference of terms, We think basically comes from the difference of both high schools` geographical system that in Korea, the Korean geography and universal geography are educated individually, and in China, they are educated in the one subject, are educated individually, and in China, they are educated in the one subject, geography.
