It has been strongly suggested to conduct research examining the impact of educational programs on attitudes towards customers with disabilities as tourism employees with a lack of knowledge about disabilities may easily fail to accommodate customers with disabilities appropriately. Three 2-hour long seminars about disability inclusion were provided to tourism and hospitality managers in three different locations in the Republic of Korea. A survey with structured perceived service orientation to customers with disabilities translated into Korean was distributed before and after the seminars. This research showed that each item and averaged score of the perceived service orientation to customers with disabilities were statistically significantly changed after the seminar. The results showed that an educational seminar on disability inclusion enhances tourism and hospitality managers’ perceived customer orientation when serving customers with disabilities. Educated tourism and hospitality managers are ultimately better to supervise frontline employees to accommodate customers with disabilities. This research note opens significant discussions among scholars and practitioners about the necessity of educational programs for tourism and hospitality employees.
