This paper selects the network catchwords from 2010 to 2017 as the research corpus from the national language resources monitoring and research center and Baidu. Based on Fairclough"s three-dimensional model, this paper makes a critical discourse analysis of the selected network catchwords from three levels: description, interpretation and interpretation. At the descriptive level, the author mainly analyzes the language characteristics from the choice of vocabulary and the classification of network catchwords. At the interpretation level, we mainly understand the emergence of network catchwords from the generation, distribution and consumption of the text, how it spreads and how it is accepted by people. At the explanatory level, this paper attempts to illustrate the discourse power of network catchwords from the interaction between discourse and power.
