The process of manufacturing an anode functional layer (AFL) in the conventional SOFC is inefficient, because, typically, the powder is ball-milled for a long time and sintered above 1,200°C. Also, in thin-film SOFCs, after fabricating the anode, a new target material or precursor is loaded on the vacuum deposition equipment to deposit the AFL. Alternatively, transferring the cell to other thin-film deposition equipment to lay the AFL requires more time and labor.
