Among various renewable energy resources, solar thermal energy is the most abundantly available source on the planet. The application of solar thermal systems for space heating is a good alternative to fossil fuels. However, the utilization of solar energy is a challenge in the areas with the seasonal mismatch between solar thermal energy availability and heating load demand. Seasonal Solar Thermal Storage (SSTS) is a proposed solution to this problem.
