In this study, we investigated the effects of the combined ball milling and alkaline hydrothermal pretreatment on biochemical methane potential of rice husk and microbial community structure. Three pretreatments-ball milling, alkaline hydrothermal, and a combined ball milling and alkaline hydrothermal pretreatment-were used to compare its effects on biochemical methane potential of rice husk and microbial community during the anaerobic digestion of pretreated rice husk.
