The dependence of heat transfer phenomena from nanoscopic channels is related to the interface thermal resistance, temperature jump, wettability, heat flux, and dissimilar molecular interface, where the nanoscale definition of the interface is controversial or ambiguous. Due to the van der Waals force, this ambiguity in the interface occurs, which creates a solid-like liquid layer, i.e., a dynamic structuring of the liquid is produced by the liquid atoms at the interface. In this regard, we perform nonequilibrium molecular dynamics simulations to investigate the origin of the interface and its effects on the nanochannel heat transfer.
