This study is about the effect of personal color recognition among women in their 20s on eye shadow and lipstick color selection and makeup satisfaction.
For this study, 202 women in their 20s, focusing on the metropolitan area, were surveyed on the effect of personal color recognition on eye shadow and lipstick color selection and makeup satisfaction and the research results were analyzed by the SPSS 25.0 program.
As a result of this study, it was found that in the case of a person who recognizes own personal color, the satisfaction of eye shadow makeup increases as the eye shadow color suitable for own personal color is used. This is the same with the lipstick makeup part, which was found that in the case of a person who recognizes their color, the satisfaction of lipstick makeup increases as the lipstick color suitable for the personal color is used.
As a result of the survey, 47.0% of respondents recognized their personal color, and 80.7% of the whole respondents usually wear makeup. The makeup parts that respondents mainly pay attention to were skin makeup (39.6%) and eye makeup (39.1%), while lip makeup (8.4%) accounted for a low percentage. The reason why the lip makeup field relatively accounts for a low percentage can be inferred that the environment of wearing a mask affected these results due to COVID-19. This study implies that the field of interest in makeup can be reflected along with the changing environment.
