As for the senior"s economic activities, reemployment and employment are a priority, but there is also a form of self-employed start-ups. The working method of self-employment is largely determined by the parties, so if you have the intention and ability to work, you can say that you have a relatively wide range of choices. Considering this, senior start-ups are suitable for an aging society and can be seen as one of the flexible working methods. Therefore, it can be seen that the necessity of a senior"s start-up lies in maintaining the senior"s social participation and ties with society by changing from a position supported by society to a position of contributing to society.
Most of the research related to senior start-ups in Korea is concentrated in young people, and research on senior start-ups is rare. There is a lack of research on the specific start-up status of senior entrepreneurs in the aging era.
The goal of this study is to find the success factors of senior entrepreneurs. In addition, in order to examine whether it is possible to define senior start-ups as part of the working method of an aging society, I would like to present a plan to revitalize senior start-ups in Korea through research and reports on senior start-ups in Japan.
