The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of plyometric training on Fitness and Driver head speed, long distance. A total of ten subjects volunteered to participate in the study. They were composed of KLPGA pro and expert player. All subjects participated in a 12 week plyometric training program and were evaluated before and after the training on the following factors: lower limb muscular strength(1RM-leg press), explosive muscular power(sargent jump), agility(10m shuttle run), and driver head speed, ling distance. The plyometric training program was composed of the following ten exercises: squat jump, split squat jump, pike jump, double-leg hop, double-leg zigzag hop, single-leg hop, lateral barrier hop, skip, depth jump, and depth jump with lateral movement. All subjects participated in the training one hour per day for three times per week. The first 6 weeks program included 3 sets of 12 repetitions per exercise and the second 6 weeks program included 4 sets of 12 repetitions per exercise. The paired t-test was used for the data analysis. The results of the study were as follows: First, after plyometric training, a statistically significant difference (p<.05) was leg press. Second, after plyometric training, a statistically significant difference (p<.05) was sargent jump. Third, after plyometric training, a statistically significant difference (p<.05) was club head speed. Fourth, after plyometric training, a statistically significant difference (p<.05) was driver long distance. Previous research has shown that the plyometric training has an effect on muscular strength and explosive muscular power. And developed for golf performance.
