The purpose of this study was The effect of 12 weeks yoga asana program on the isokinetic muscular function. Seven women (24.71±2.99yr) volunteered to participate in a 12weeks asana yoga program. The adana yoga program protocol was consisted of 1-4weeks, 5-8weeks. 8-12weeks. Exercise training was performed three times weekly. This study is measure make use of CYBEX770 isokinetic muscular function. Peak torque, ratios of ipsilateral, ratios of Knee, Trunk, Shoulder, Ankle, Elbow for 60°/sec. Statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS (version 12.0). All variables was statistically analyzed using paired t-test. In the result of following Peak torque was showed significantly difference at the 12 weeks asana yoga program in Knee extension, and Ankle. but not showed significantly difference at the 12 weeks asana yoga program in Knee flexion, Trunk, Shoulder, Elbow. At ratios of ipsilateral was showed significantly difference at the 12 weeks asana yoga program in Knee, Trunk, Elbow. but not showed significantly difference at the 12 weeks asana yoga program in Shoulder, Ankle. At ratios of bilateral was not showed significantly difference at the 12 weeks asana yoga program. In cinclusion, these data suggest that progressive asana yoga program may have an isokinetic muscular function.
