The purpose of this study is investigate the effect the achievement goal orientation and self-efficacy on the performance of elementary school children due to their experience of task that is putting in golf. The subjects are 244 elementary school children(boy : 110, girl : 124) in K city. The independent variables of this study are achievement goal orientation and self-efficacy of subjects, and dependent variables are golf putting. The results are as follows:1. The level of achievement goal orientation has an effect on the performance of elementary school children because the subjects who show task-oriented motivation show superior performance than the subjects who show ego-oriented motivation.2. The level of self-efficacy has an effect on the performance of elementary school children because the subjects who have high self-efficacy show superior performance than those of the low subjects' score.3. In analysis of change post self-efficacy due to success and failure, post self-efficacy is increased when subjects think success of their task, but reduced when subjects think failure of their task. That subjects have many success chance increase their performance.
