The purpose of this study was to investigated the relationship for the application and the usefulness of canonical correlation analysis in the cardiovascular function factor between blood lipids and hormone factor in a index attained physical fitness and health. The subjects participated in this experiment voluntarily for this study were 39 healthy male university students. The cardiovascular function factor(rest HR, HRmax, VO2/kg, Ve max) and the blood lipids factor(total cholesterol; TC, high density lipoprotein cholesterol; HDL-C, low density lipoprotein cholesterol; LDL-C, triglyceride; TG) and hormone factor(adrenocorticotropic hormone; ACTH, epinephrine; EP, norepinephrine; NEP, Cortisol; CT) were measured and analyzed by using multiple and canonical correlation. The results were as follows.1. The multiple correlation between The multiple correlation between cardiovascular function factor and blood lipids factor relatively high(-0.72~0.74) in level of significance relatively high(-0.72~0.74) in level of significance.2. The multiple correlation between cardiovascular function factor and blood hormone factor relatively high(-0.76~0.58) in level of significance.3. In the canonical correlation of the sample the multiple correlation between cardiovascular function factor and blood lipids factor while testing the factors, Ve max was most important blood lipids factor and TG was most important cardiovascular function factor.4. In the canonical correlation of the sample The multiple correlation between cardiova- scular function factor and blood hormone factor while testing the factors, Ve max was most important blood lipids factor and NEP was most important cardiovascular function factor.
