This study was designed to analyze the effect of the parents' rearing attitude recognized by their children on the personalities of the athletes for highschool team and individual events. The analysis was made with athletes on a highschool located in U metropolitan city. The results are as follows: First, athletes for individual events more recognized that their parents' rearing attitude was affectionate compared to those for team events, and it held true of athletes with less than 48 months of career compared to those with longer career. Athletes for individual and team events were most aware of the rearing attitude of denial type. Second, athletes with long career were found to have higher SOC, RES, REF, CON than those with short career. Third, DOM, SOC, REF, and IMP of athletes for individual events were shown to have the static relationship to their parents' rearing attitude of affection, autonomy, and control type. As. for athletes with long career, DOM, CON, and IMP were shown to have the static relationship to the rearing attitude of affection, autonomy, and control type, personalities were shown to be influenced by posterior factors.
